I've got another inquiry (sorry) this time about an old-school track made between 79-84 (I know this because of the title of the mixtape I heard it on). It has a catchy descending piano line that was used recently for some awful r'n'b song. There is a rapper on the verses and the chorus is a high-pitched girl singing "Hey D.J, play that song, keep me dancin' (dancin') all night long". It's kinda cheesy but I LOVE it, and want to buy the orig. on wax? Anyone got a clue? I haven't got any other way of ID-ing this song, so help will be be appreciated muchly. The mixtape is a dope old-school compilation available here - http://www.mindbenda.com/iframes/03medi ... iframe.htm. The song comes in at 46 mins. The comp is worthing checking regardless. Thanks.

^^One of my old favorites.

EDE knows.
Except what happened to the original sleeve? Looks like you robbed the "Jam On It" sleeve to put it in. Hahaha.

MANY thanks! I LOVE that song! Gonna have to cop a wax copy. You're right it is ill, and not cheesy, but it's got that kind of eighties smoothness (like the beat for "Rhymes like Dimes" - word to Quincy) that's hard to find a word for. Again, thanks a lot. This forum is so HELPFUL, it's almost hard to believe!
