Syncing my ASR-10 with my MPC2000

Ok, I've hooked it up thru midi so its like this:

MPC out to ASR in
ASR out to MPC in

I want to load up a bass sound in the ASR-10 and play it over a sequence on the MPC.

I can't seem to do that, so what am I doing wrong?

Earlier, I loaded up a beat with sample, drums etc on the MPC and I could controll the sounds from the MPC on the ASR, but thats not really what Im aiming for!

Im pretty new to this midi stuff, so somebody fill me in and tell me step by step, exactly what I need to do.

Search my old posts and I have explained it b4. I have an ASR-10, ASR-X, Triton Extreme, and a Mac, all sequenced from my MPC. If you can't find the post, let me know and I'll post the way to do it again.

you have to set up your ASR for multi mode, then you have to make sure you have your ASR set to the right midi number to respond to, I'm at work so I can't give you the buttonology, but those are the steps

im familiar with the mpc but the asr-10 is brand new to me

All I had to do was set the right midi out on the ASR. (Edit+Track)

For some reason it was set to 8...

Anyways, its working now
