Any of you guys ever come across the original for Represent??? I have been wondering where the hell Premier found that for years...

It's obviously harder to identify a sample if it has been chopped.

Sorry...

you guys may be right on the sample...but, the drums are from George Clinton-Open All Night. They are the same drums from Gangstarr's - Blowin' up the Spot...

It's not really that hard to tell a sample that has been chopped. I've heard the breaks from alot of old stuff and most of them pop right out at you. But, it is not definitely chopped...I used to think Premier chopped mostly everything too; but if you check some of his beats that you thought were chops, alot more will be loops than you thought...

Hey, I just listened to the song by Tchaikovsky, and that is definitely not the sample....I listened normal, then slowed it...and neither produced that organ type sound on Represent...
