Connecting midi with ASR10, MPC, and Motif Rack

Whats up forum, If anyone can help me please reply. My problem is i just got an ASR10 and a Motif rack. i want to use the asr as the master and slave my MPC and the motif. can anyon tell me how to connect all three with the asr being the master and still being able to trigger the motif, and run the MP. Thanx in advance.

I could help you if you wanted the MPC to be master. but tell me more about your setup. I have the MPC as master and it controls a XV-3080 and a ASR-10. DO you sequence on your ASR?

I want to use the MPC as my sequencer, but im having a problem playing samples that i already have on the ASR and still use the ASR to trigger the motif. I dont mind using the ASR as the sequencer if i could get everything to work. put it this way, I want to do my drums on the MPC, use the ASR for my sampling, and at the same time use the asr to trigger the sounds in the motif. I hope im not confusing you.

ok I know what you want. but I would make the MPC master, eaiser sequencer and better timing. Ok put the MPC in multi mode. Then you want to set the insturment you are using for your samples to the corresponding midi channel on your ASR Use "A" for your ASR. next you have the motif set up to take the "B" midi channels. You don't have to do anything on your motif, just use B on the MPC. This should have you set up.
