I have a roland judo-d and I'm using the MPC as a sequencer. Right now I
have 2 tracks MIDI track using a violin patch. On another track I want to use a different patch from the judo, but when I change the patch for the new track the sounds on tracks 1 and 2 also change.

How do i have multiple MIDI tracks with different patches playing at the same time?

I have searched and I cant find any other posts answering this question.

It says it has Polyphony up to 64 voices. Thats the same thing right.

no sir, poly is how many voices it can play at once and multi timbral means how many different midi channels it can play at once. but if it's not dont be dissapointed because you can always send program changes to change the preset in a sequence as many times as you want, also since it's newer it ply sends control changes instead of system exclusive but they both work the same way to record realtime knob movements. and you need to read the roland manuel to set this up but you send program changes from the part of mpc where you edit sequence. also my opinion the best option that i use is to just sample the keyboard part. record the keyboard part as midi in sequencer then sample it on playback, then erase midi track and put sample where it was or where you want it. any que's just let me know.

that sampling thing sounds like a good idea...im not sure if the juno is multi teimbral or not... but i guess until i figure it out im gonna just record 1 patch to my mixer then change the track and record another. thanks for your help

Its your MIDI SKILLZ mate!!

each track that uses a new midi sound on your synth needs a device channel number.

MPC TRACK 1 MIDI 1A = BASS 1A

MPC TRACK 2 MIDI 2A = PIANO 2A

MPC TRACK 3 MIDI 3A = STRINGS 3A

and so on...

The Juno-D is multi-timbral. Roland call them "performances". You can have up to 8, which is really stingy but it is a budget keyboard.

I've been thinking of getting one myself. Do you like the sounds?

Yeah just had a look at the manual that I downloaded a little while ago. Have a look at P.42 and then P.55 onwards for more detail.
