As I see it you got 2 ways to choose from:
1. If you have an 8-output expansion route one sound to each individual output.
2. Use the "solo" function on the MPC and record one sound at a time. This can be tricky if you don't sync Logic and the MPC.

I never know how to sync. What cables do I need?

2 MIDI cables which should be crossed over from your PC to the MPC4ooo. Set the MPC4ooo as the slave to Logic and everything will stay nicley in sync.

If so just play your beat on the MPC and in record mode set to Main Out as the source. When you record the entire beat this way, it becomes a WAV file and you can save it to the PC using Ak Sys. Somebody on here taught me that and it works perfectly. It beats having all those cable hook-up and a mixing console, etc.

I just reread your post. Yeah if you want to separate the instruments, then you goitta do what they (^^^) said.
