this is hard to explain, but when mixing should i make the trake sound WIDE? i cant really explain it, maybe some one can help me out

then when recording hte vocals set the vocals in the middle?

I kinda know what you mean by wide....It all depends....If you like the way it sounds then you should go for it....As for vocals, there are differents ways you can do them....If the sound good in the middle then leave them...you can as try record the chorus twice and send one all the way left and one right....What program are you using to record vocals?!?!

for wide vocals (mostly used in the chorus)
track the phrase 3 different times
put one in the middle and pan the other two according to how wide u want it.

The wider the sound the warmer and vice versa.
