Same Program for Song Conversion?

Sup y'all

Do you have to use the same program to make all your tracks and sequences in order to convert to one full sequence in song mode?

I've been recording tracks and making sequences all day, and when i go to song mode and hear the sequences in order, everything sounds good until I convert to sequence. What's up wid dat?!!

u have to convert to a song or keep all sequences on there respective track's if u want one sequence. tracks cant switch program's in the middle of a sequence. i hope this help's and is what ur talking about. good luck man.

So you're saying I should always spread the sounds I want over 64 pads and just use the 1 program in making a song?

Once you RECORD on a track:

DON'T change the program and/sounds in that recorded track.

Instead, leave it alone when you are happy with it and if you wanna add some more choose a different track.

You can use a different program on each track, just leave the tracks you're not using blank.

OR

You can put a program change in at the start of each seq to bring up the program you were using. The first way's probably better though.

Thanx... I went back at it, using different programs for different tracks and once in song mode and converted to a sequence, everything played back the way it ought to have.

I think I messed up mainly where Lampdog was saying not to record new sounds from another program to the same track, I could have easily done that by recording over another performance...anywayz, she converted properly and i'm a happier camper!!
