tracking

ok i searched for this, n it didnt really go in depth about tracking n what u can do!! the same with the manual.. what i want to know is do i need a program like acid pro to track or can i do it on my mpc? would a mixer be good sence you can put all the tracks in the mixer n hook it up too the pc?
n the seqence thing, soo i can have multipil seqences in one song n just mix them all together.. is this what rjd2 does? sorry i just wont to get in depth about what the mpc can really do i got the hang of seqencein shit. i tryd read the manual but didnt really help there!

I have my 2kxl main outs going into my digi001.
I don't have the 8outs.

My triton extreme has 4 individual analog outs that go into the digi001.
Along with the spdif optical out that goes in the digi001.

digi001 is connected to my computer and breaks out into vegas multitrack software.


I use the software mixer in vegas. My setup is oh so simple cause I'm poor.

yeah thanx!! but i want to know if im workn with mulitiple sequences with different bars n different tempo how does that work? n what r other peoples method on mixing n trackn there tracks with n mpc? like how does rjd2 do this thing? i just want to know how this trackin thing works cuz im tryn too do abstract beats like rjd2 but am still fukn around tryn to find my style!

Tracking is a term used to describe the recording process of your individual 'tracks' from the MPC into a multi tracking hardware or software application. The MPC acts as a playback device is sum instances therefor users opt to hard disk record the'sound' (Track)....After this stage, u are free to manipulate your tracks/mix them

How you track depends on your setup....A mixer is an option - You can monitor and make further adjustments b4 u record your sound, then again u could go str8 into you PC if you had an adequate soundcard and cut out the mixer (lampdog)

Then again u may be using a hardware disk recorder.....

The info u want regarding RJ is something else...Ha! I think you need to slow down bro...Understand what you have and what it can do for you b4 you start wanting to do what every1 else does

all those sequences w/ different bars and different tempos, you should just chain them together in song mode and playback.

each pad on an mpc is a track.

tracks are set to individual (8out) outs and go to your mixer/audio interface (8ins).

tracks are broken down and edited in your software or your hardware multitracker.

I don't know of anyway to make it any clearer.

Each pad has a sound/sample on...Ie kick

Instruments would be another shout tho
