Little Ghetto Boy - Donny Hathaway

I've been trying to get Little ghetto boy for awhile now. I was actually only able to find it on MP3, and I can only find a live version. Can anyone hook me up with a studio album version of this on MP3?

I'm starting to think there is no studio version of this available.

Damn, Donnie's my man. However I was under the impression that the only version was that found on his 1972 Live album.

I've never heard (or heard of) a studio version. Heck, why would you want one anyway? The live version was KILLER!!!

I dunno, I'm not a fan of live music. I prefer the studio albums anyday, because they make sure they hit the notes just right and all that mess.

Naw man, that live album is CRAZY.

It was back when artists actually had real talent and could hold it down live. Trust me he was hitting every single note on that album. The joint is raw, you gotta peep it in its entirety.

It just has this energy that studio albums just couldn't possibly capture.

The only Hathaway albums I could ever find were Everything is Everything and Extensions Of A Man. That is locally anyway. I'm sure if I wanted to get all his joints I could probably find them on the internet somewheres.

The title of the soundtrack is a typo. It's actually Come Back, Charleston Blue.
The soundtrack is actually done by Donny Hathaway and Quincy Jones. It should be flowers fire. I'm going to try and get this.

All I have to say is, listen to that live Donny Hathaway album.......and listen to the bass player (Willie Weeks.) This is some of the sickest bass playing ever put on record.

PS - a little trivia....The funky drumming on that LP is provided by Fred White......who went on to be the drummer in Earth, Wind & Fire.

I just started seeking out Donny Hathaways music..... great sole classic voice I wonder if well will ever see another artist like that. I was talking to my unkle about that live album and said he in his opinon that it was one of the greatests live albums of all time! Is it a farly common album to come to dig for.

I've come across that live album a few times. I never picked it up, cause as I've mentioned before...I really don't like live albums. I might pick it up if I see it again though. For right now I can rock the live version of Little Ghetto Boy in the iPod, but I'm going to get that soundtrack, cause I really want to hear what the studio version is like.

I just heard a studio version. Actually the live version is a lot better. It just has a lot more soul and feeling to it. I still might cop that soundtrack though, but it's on the back burner. If I find it for a good price it's a wrap.
