2 ?'s 2000XL

1. Do all of you use your MPC as your primary sequencer and if not what do you use?

2. Can anybody share any good technics for filtering samples?

Soundforge is ILL!!!! I use SF7.

If you do not want to use software for filtering, try to get an MFC42, hard to find now. Just got minez the other day and it is tragically-ill-matic!

yeh they go for $200 us these days. do a search here theres plenty of links to the mfc42.

LMAO ...why would ANYONE buy an MPC and NOT use it as the primary sequencer......That is the brains and beauty of it.....

I use it as the primary sequencer. But sometimes I opt to sequence some external synths using a software DAW.

sorry, this has been bugging me for a while

"Digital audio workstation" is the only thing I know what DAW stands for.

I use the sequencer in protools, lol. I know it sounds funny, but I like how can add the swing to my music. Also I can do all the mutes and **** with all the velocity on evrything, includiong the notes in the chords I play to make my music sound like a live band everytime. Especially when my kick goes boom BOOM right before a snare.
