"I'd post a new question to ask if anyone knows if the SCSI fuse affects internal SCSI, or just the SCSI port on the back of the machine"
I would suggest to avoid suggesting questions based on ignorant false premises. If you do not own the machine, then avoid posting. I am not trying to be as mean as it sounds, but statements like that require others to come back and have to re-explain stuff over and over. It effectively makes more work for people that actually know.
First off, what ignorant false premise? If I was quoted properly it would read:
M.ic P.ro C.rusher wrote:The question I have, is if the SCSI fuse is blown, is that just the external SCSI? Because if it's not, then you could just install an internal card reader or zip drive.
So I was asking a question, and depending on the answer to my question, I offered a possible solution to his problem. Buy you say:
mpc3000 wrote:statements like that require others to come back and have to re-explain stuff
Statement? It would seem that someone that is trifling enough to correct someone else's spelling would know the difference from a statement and a question. I never said it would work and I never implied that I know if it will or not. And then I even suggest he asks if anyone knows the answer to this, and somehow you think I shouldn't have done that either:

This is hilarious to me. For two reasons. First off, fuk you. I'm trying to
HELP this kid. Basically brainstorming. I just threw out some ideas. I don't know if the internal SCSI will still work (or if the 2000 even has internal SCSI conectors like the XL), but since I don't know, I should offer the idea, because if it does works, then problem solved. That's how brainstorming works, there are no bad ideas.
Secondly, the whole statement is contradictory. If I am ignorant, then I am uninformed, and you are correct about that (which is WHY I suggested asking someone who isn't). But if my premise is ignorant, than it cannot be fake, beause to be fake would require me intentioanlly lying about the condition of said premise, and being ingnorant to it, by definition, would mean I lack that information.
And after all that, instead of telling me what I did wrong, why don't
YOU try and help this kid out, Mr. I-know-more-about-MPC's-than-Akai? Does the 2000 have internal SCSI connectors? If so, will they be burned out, too? If not, then is there any reason he can't get an internal SCSI Zip drive?
