2000 XL with harddrive

I always had a zip drive but i want to buy a external harddrive to stock my sounds like i want to do my own rack in adding my sounds' banks in the external drive and load 'em in my mpc
what would you recommend me to buy as harddrive ?

scsi hdd so i'm told...best do a search on the forum, there are loads of informative threads here about it.

Actually i wanna know what is the best product to buy (mark,price,quality) , like what people on this forum use ?
and can i just link an scsi external harddrive to the scsi output of the mpc wit just a cable and nothin else (i mean no system and a lot of cables like this)
