hi hats by hand

You all act like you never heard something and wanted to do something like it....If that is the case then every producer that samples is biting because they didn't come up with the concept....Stop hating on the poor guy!!!!

im not hating, and i hope dudes not saying flowers you to me. I just find it so odd that hes been making music for a year (and its shitting all over my music) and he doesnt know this. I got my mpc with no manual, and i learned how to use it by practicing, and experimenting, not going on a forum and asking a basic, newbie question like that. If it was in the newbie forums, i would help, but cmon now this is wack. These beatmakers are spoiled nowadays lol.


time correction and notes is simple sh*t that if you cant understand if from the manual or experimentation, you should sell your gear right away.

My fault....Didn't see that he has been making beats for a year....Your right he should know TC by now but some people were flipping cuz he wanted to catch a certain sound....You make a good point now that I really think about it though!!!!

Your right. I figured out how to use the time correct function within the first week of owning a mpc. I don't see how you could own a mpc and not try out every button. Thats what I've been doing with my 60. At the moment I have everything figured out except how to use the shift timing or shift later function. I need to mess with it some more though.

I was stuck with the idea in my head that the hi hats arent good/authentic unless if they were done by hand.
I played with the tc but did not understand it.

yo do you have a manual? if not id search this site crazy, cause i know heads have broken down time correct before. Half the fun owning an mpc is pushing buttons and flowers with sh*t till you figure it out.

i been making beats for 2 years and i was hoping someone could explain in detail how to power up my mpc, i have no manual so............


come on guys he plays HHs by hand, he got madd skills..........I wish i could play by hand.......I usually just yell at the main screen until it does what I say

man here's a quick tip i use to help throw down a fast hats loop...

put the same hi hat sample on two different pads, ideally next to each other, and then tap em both so you can get a faster speed with your hands... it'll work on one pad, but i find it easier on two...

i always bust my hats on 16 levels velocity so its not just one pad im flowers wit, and i can obviously mess with velocity levels also, so it varies up
