2 sound modules, midi controller, and MPC problems

So heres my setup, following the tutorial i found on this site:
Midi controller goes OUT to mpc midi IN,
mpc midi OUT goes IN to Roland JV1010,
jv1010 goes THROUGH to my Emu MP7 IN slot...

My problem is that i'm not able to record a sequence on my mpc without either the jv1010, or the mp7, finiding its way to each others tracks [pain in the bum]. Many times after i think im done recording a track, the second i move onto the next track i hear a whole bunch of different instruments that i didnt put it on the previous track.

Also, I'm able to use both the mpc and midi controller as controllers for the mp7, however i cannot record sequences while pressing the keypads on the mp7 [major drawback]. I'm not sure what i'm doing incorrect, any help will be greatly appreciated.

I've been up for 6 hours now (7am in USA) , trying to figure out a solution to this problem and it sucx...if any1 can help it would be greatly apprrecitaed. Thanks yall, peace

Try this:
MPC midi out A to JV-1010 midi in/ MPC midi out B to MP7 midi in. Midi controller midi out to MPC midi in 1 or 2.
To sequence the JV select midi device 1a-16a, to sequence the MP7 select midi device 1b-16b.

Ok, I give this a shot,

First you have to learn how to make a program change on The MPC, Each Midi device connected to the MPC has mostlikly 16 channels each.
Device 1, midi channel 1 on port A for example.
Then you have to find out in the mannul of the device your using its
MLB and LSB. Its been awhile scince I had my MPC 2000 so I forget the way its set up but you have to look into Program Changes and Bank Changes. You want each track to automaticly stay on its banks so the correct sound plays at all times.
If you have device 1, and midi channel 1 on mutliable tracks it will play whatever midi event you recorded on all tracks with midi channels (1).
Crack open that book, read up on program changes and bank changes from the MPC, then read the JV book to see what the MSB. and LSB are.

I was able to do that MSB/LSB thing, and I was even able to separate my two sound modules and get them on the same/different tracks ON WILL!! So thanks to you guys for helping me out on that.

Now the only problem is trying to get my MP7 played on tracks 1B-16B, and my JV1010 through 1a-16a, with the following setup:
Midi controller goes OUT to mpc midi IN,
mpc midi OUT goes IN to Roland JV1010,
jv1010 goes THRU to my Emu MP7 IN slot..

Is this possible? I know of cooocooo1 way, but I was wandering what specifications are necessary to make this way [and the MPC tutors way according to the midi tutorial] work. Thanks again for any help given!!!

I am having trouble making my emu and mpc communicate properly.

Yo cyber , there is a way to make it work that way, but you won't be able to use 16 channels on both devices. What I do is to cut off the midi receive on channels 1-8 on one device and cut of the midi receive of 9-16. So for example, jv1010 would only be able to play sounds off channels 1-8 , and MP7 would play 9-16. This works great for me.(I have my proteus on 1-8 and my xv3080 on 9 -16). You can switch it around or whatever depending on which one you use the most. I have saved a default template so i don't have to turn them off and on each time I start a session. The proteus remebers that I have turned off 9-16 because I did it thru the master menu. If you have more questons hit the forum back .Good Luck .
