I was thinking of buying some sample cd's and rocking it like that......I'm gonna hook the dcdi drive up to my 2000xl, load my samples from the scsi drive into my 2000 chop and load into my digi002 system.....Do I have all the bases covered or am I missing something......? That's not really sampling is it ? Loading samples from a sample cd ? Apart from that it iis a good idea to have a scsi cdrom drive to go with your 2kxl since you can easily make your own sample cd's (unlike the 2k classic). What media are you ggonna use to save your samples and sequences ?

I have digi 002 protools......Using sample cd's isn't sampling...? I was thinkin load audio cd's into it as well as sample cd's? Is this a good idea? I run my 2000 into my protools sessions, so when I have the loaded audio from the scsi drive into the 2000, I can record straight into a protools session...Is this feasible, or what is the function of a scsi drive, used for in conjunction with a 2000? Also will the scsi play regular discs...I got this old jazz cd Im dyin to sample....

U have to have the file in the correct format and also sometimes them SCSI CD drives can work good and sometimes they can give u living hell. MOst people just use zip drives but thats on you playa.
