wrong file

i tried movin files on my mac which were .wav.aif to my mpc via usb and thy wouldnt load , so i tried makin thm jus .wav n whn i tried 2 load thm it said wrong file....can ne1 help me wit gettin into my mpc

only accepts .wav

i made it a wav file and it was comin up as WRONG FILE....

WAV has a few subformats/ variations from what I have seen. You have to be careful with your PC software and what format you save your file in. For example with soundforge you need to save as a microsoft wav file. You also have to save the file as 16bit 44100 format. (generic cd wav format)

Just be careful with all the settings of your wav file. and make sure they match what the mpc1000 can take.

I am guessing all he did to 'make' the wav file is to change the extension in windows. Not a good idea. A magic wand would have a better chance of working.

ok....my magic wand didnt work how could i change it properly on a ibook???

do it in itunes; stick all the samples you wanna convert into a playlist then hit convert making sure in the preferences you've got wav 16 bit selected.
