Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

my second scsii zip died today, i got the click of death, they just dont travel well or cope with gigs. The advice i need is
a) can it be fixed and how
b) were is a cheep place in the uk to buy an internal kit
c) should i just buy an mpc1000 instead of upgrading my 2000xl with an internal zip and effects. ??? or
d) take up the banjo???

The click of death means you have to get another one. There isn't any cost effective way to repair the broken zip drive.

Whether or not you switch MPC models depends on your interests. The two have nearly equivalent features. List each of the things that are important to you and then decide.

I wouldn't take up the banjo. It's much too difficult to install a zip drive in it.

yea guessed that it was totally busted mate, double bummer.

hmm but i did mange to turn my mouth organ into a mass storage device so the banjo shouldn't be too hard to mod ;)

my main concern about the 1000 is that it looks too camp.
