Making the arrangement on mpc 2000

Did someone try it? I would like to put vocal inside my mpc and make the whole arrangement under it, but the worse thing is when you play it you always have to play from the beginning of the track. does someone of You has an other idea how to cope with it?

Use a recording program, chop it up, then throw it into the mpc. I know this doesnt really answer your question, but the mpc isnt exactly a vocal track laying machine. This doesnt mean the mpc doesnt do it. Letts just say, its not its specialty. To lay your vocals down on the mpc, it takes hours of cutting and pasting. You have to trim through that sample and place the vocale where you want. Here you go, record your beat to some sort of media that you can hear it on. Then, play that track, and sing, rap, ryme, whatever it is you are doing, to the beat, while your mpc is recording. As long as you are singing to the correct tempo, and your timing is good, all you have to do, is throw is one large sample. Then you could layer over with a hoop, or other various samples.

Throw your vocal track out one of your seperate channels, add a little reverb on your mixer, or use another rack processor, and you are gold!
