Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

MIDI help

I have my 2000XL hooked up to my PK-6. I can record a sequence triggering my PK-6 from my MPC pads but I cant figure out how to record a sequence into the MPC while playing the keys on the PK-6.
Please help.

Midi out to midi in on both units. (MPC & PK-6)
and make sure you have the MPC set to midi on and drum off.

Yeah. I've got all of the above taken care of. Still cant get it to work.

Nevermind. I figured it out. There was a setting on the PK-6 I had to switch on.
