So before I had my MPC1000, I was recording MIDI track data into Digital Performer from my controller. Now I am trying to save out Standard MIDI tracks from DP and load them into the MPC, so the MPC can drive the show. When I load the .MID files (Format 0 or 1) the track duration and tempo are right, but there are no MIDI events on any track, verified with step edit. I can load the .MID file back into DP and everything is there. What the ? What am I missing?

When I did it I was baffled for a minute then I found the note data on track 10 or something. Just check all yer trax.

Nope for me. When you go through all the tracks using TRACK MUTE you can see pretty quickly which ones have data. Even then, digging through the rest, there is nothing there.

Yet I can load this file back into DP and there's the data :(.

Shit, I had left Step Edit mode with View events:Control Change filter on from a previous operation, so I couldn't see the note events :).

Now why oh why does a Juno 106 keep sending CC:ALL NOTES OFF; another mystery for another time.

Crappy non-answer, but works:

Connect the controller to the MPC instead of DP.
