They gonna go deaf in 2 days. Put it low, some suggest -70db or around there. Dont use headphones either. Never monitor with headphones. U gotta take breaks too.
holla

Exactly. It's ok to mix your music at low levels, but it might sound different if you turn up the volume. That's why people like to mix their music loud.

You have to mix it at a realistic and sesnsible volume (not too low or high).

I don't monitor my entire mix with headphones, I only use my headphones near the end to see the difference. Sometimes it sounds a little different in the headphones, but it's your job to make it sound good every where. That's why you have to learn about EQ.

I had some mad problems with my ears about a week ago. I had to step back and take a few days off to get my ears back to normal. They were mad sensitive after I was working for 8 hrs nonstop like some cokehead

Always monitor at moderate levels as most ppl said befo & most important : TAKE BREAKS!. After one or two hrs you should take like half an hr off to chill, go outside, eat & drink something. After that you'll be focused again and you can return to your mix with fresh ears probably finding shit in your song you didnt hear before. If you still feel trashed, call it a day and try again tomorrow. Normally a healthy meal and a long sleep cures the stressed ears. I discovered taking a shower is real good too. Somehow the noise of the water calms my ears down... :?:

watch it, you only got 2 ears

rookies moves....

any one seen that show on discovery when they try to make people sh!t there pants from a certain frequeny, they felt sick after a while of listening to it at high volume, so yeah i wpuld say thats your problem, keep it down to a minimum if it sounds to low on your speakers then use headshells,
this reminds me of when i use to rave folks use to complain that house music gave them headaches, thats just what happens to you when your gettin use to it , after a few days you just listen ,
i personally never got this feeling and i love my music loud , maybe it's cause i sleep with headshells on .
i once went to a new years party under a freeway over pass and the music was pumpin loud they had like fifteen speaks stacked two high and about 80,000 watts pushing them and i stood right in front of the speakers listen to acid house for hours and never once did i get a headache, you just got the right frequency to get you sick. is all.

i've been wanting to do that make music with that frequency that will make you sh!t your pants on the D floor.

that would be great.....

just keep your levels that half and put your mixer at 7 then if you can't hear still use the headshells to monitor.

and for dudes that say not to use headshells why the hell do you think they sell studio headshells for .

think about that.
