when i get a sample into my MPC2000 and trim it to what i like...how do i speed it up or slow it down? like if im using a 90 tempo but the sample is too fast. obviously i would have to slow it down...how do i do this?

two basica options
1. Time Stretch (trim, edit, scroll to time stretch)
2. Tune (program,params, adjust tune and/or pitch)

What I use everytime and have never used the time stretch is the 16 levels. Then if the sample is still slightly off, I will tune it plus or negative just a bit and it works every time.

i thought 16 levels was just for the volume.

if you scroll through the menu you will see other options that can be assigned such as tune i believe, just a quick note ... almost every screen of the mpc has sevral different options either by using the job wheel or by using the ultimate tool "open window" just something to keep in mind
