I want to have every newly depressed pad cut off the previous. Like a monophnic synth. Anyone know if its possible? I'm pretty sure the answer is no. Although, I'm not running the most current OS for the XL. Perhaps 1.20 has this feature? Anyone know what the improvements were in 1.20?

Go to Menu PROGRAM--then PARAM--cursor to Overlap: there you can vote between :POLY, MONO or NOTE OFF.
Maybe this helps.

none of those configurations work exactly how I would like them to. Anyone else have any idea?

(None of the OS's have this 'feature')

If you highlight the Overlap field in the Program, Param screen, and press open window you can set any given pad to cut-off two other pads.
Depending on the order you are triggering your samples, you might be able to get your result by looking at which sounds need to cut off which sounds and setting them up that way.
I'm not sure of any other way to do what you want.

Well, that's what I thought the answer was going to be. Thanks.
