Tap Temo/ Repeat button to foot switch

Can I use the foot switch with the TapTempo/Repeat feature? I have tried with no luck. What could I have done wrong? I went to other settings and selected foot sw. and put switch 1 on tap tempo . I want the sound to roll from my midi keyboard, while holding down the foot switch. Is this not possible?

ain't that a ****? i've been trying to do that for ages. bought a 40 dollar footsiwtch and everything, only to find out it only works for tap tempo, NOT NOTE REPEAT. isn't that bullsh!t? i was so mad....

And on top of that the lead you to beleive that it will work when you read the manual... oh well maybe that is easy enough to add with a OS update anyone out there listing... HELLO AKAI!!!!
