SAMPLEING ON MPC 2000

CAN U GUYS HELP ME.IM HAVIN A HARD TIME SAMPLING.I USE SOUND FORGE TO SAMPLE,THEN LOAD IT UP TO MY MP.WHEN I LOAD THE SAMPLE IT DOEST SOUND THE SAME NO MORE.HOW DO GET IT TO SOUND NORMAL?DO U GUYS A TAKE A SAMPLE THEN CHOP IT UP AND THEN ASSIGN TO DIFF. PADS?

Yeah, W'sup with that. Mine come out the same also. Explain the whole process of your transfer of sounds and all.

The MPC plays back all samples at 44.1kHz. So if you happen to transfer a 22.05kHz sample to the MPC (and it does not realize it) the sample will be pitched up one octave. This example be corrected be setting the tuning value for the sample (not pad) to -120.

Check the tuning value for the pad to make sure it is set to Zero. This is likely if you are attempting to replace a sound in an existing program that may already have pad settings.
