the man said MOVE, not Remove!!
yes you can do this in step edit....however its alot different from 2000xl days..
so, scroll to the note u want to move, then press <- on ya mpc, then scroll to the time u want, press OVER DUB, then press the note (PAD) u want.
go to the old note u wanted to move and delete it.
if this is still wrong press UNDO and try again.

Hey. Tried the trick yesterday when I got off from work.. didn't help me alot. I'm not sure that i understand what your'e meaning Penfold. How willl this move a note? What I'm thinking of is to somehow scroll in time for the individual note. Can this be done?? Maybe you could try to spell it out for me once again

you cannot move a note in step edit. bt there are workarounds.
you can use penfold method
or use the copy&paste function.
the trick (as penfold stated) is to press the left arrow after copying the event. so that the cursor end up at the correct time in the time display. then add a few ticks. then paste. then delete the original event.
sounds tedious on writing, but just try it, in pratice it is very fast.

higlight the part of the timeline you want (using the arrows) and then turn the wheel to change it.
(and maybe can also use numerical input instead of the wheel)
