Sync and song mode

I've got a number of sequences that I want to arrange into a SONG to create a set of tunes. All sequences are Reps:1 except for a few which will be HOLD. I'm not interested in munging all the sequences into one massive sequence.

Problem: I have external gear arpeggiating to MIDI clock from the MPC. When the song switches from one sequence to another, sync goes totally out of whack. My external arps/seqs do not land on beats any more.

Whenever I'm not in song mode, PLAY or PLAY/START always gives me correct sync to my synth. Is this a bug in SONG mode? Am I going to have to choose the next sequence manually in the live set!!??

It's the latest 1.07. The synth is an A6 andromeda. It is a direct MIDI connection. It could very well be a synth problem.

So, if you make two sequences, each with a different tempo, and put them in a list in SONG mode, after the transition between the two seqs, your synth blips are lined up properly when you play from the keyboard?

Frankly, I would be suprised if the MPC is at fault. The A6 has quite a few issues, and unlike the MPC, there is NO HOPE of ever getting an OS update to fix even the most obvious problems. But at least if I can prove it's not the MPC then I will have some ammo. It's the same support department, after all.

I have a X Station hooked up for my arps to sync and none of these problems here , im using the 1K as the master and slaving the X Station , so it may be your synth but could also be settings like global sync i.e. sync to first note , program change , song start ect ect , i have mine set on first note if any of that is similar to yours

Yo pen you rocking Live 5 yet , if so any issues with the midi clock ?
