Good vintage mixer suggestions?

I don't have a 1k in case you didn't know. I traded mine for a 60. Yeh I don't understand why mixers have set eq's either. I'm pretty sure you can dial in eqs on those digital yamaha mixers though. Does anyone know of a harware mixer that can do this?

Older A&H desks are good, and look at big old Tascam desks (m2600mkII, M3500, M3700), also check Soundcraft Ghost or Soundtracs Topaz Project 8.

I was looking to buy a 24ch A&H GS3000 with meterbridge, but as space was and is at a premium in my studio, I opted for a Midas Venice 240 - very compact, but SWEET sounding, especially the EQ. Awesomest EQ I've used on any desk, absolutely NO comparison with the Mackie I had previously.

Do a search - I found quite a few useful threads on mixers when I was shopping for a new desk. I've posted my findings on desks I've used in some of those threads.

You shouldn't get hung up on being able to sweep the frequency so much as to the sound of the EQ. Digital EQ's on mixers (and on the 1k) sound like shyt, the way they boost causes more problems than they will solve in a mixing situation. having fully parametric EQ's on a mixer would be nice but you really don't need that, a nice sounding EQ with just high and low is better than a shyt eq with more options. just look for one with sweepable mids, either one or two, and maybe get a rack parametric EQ to patch in where you think you need it.

Anyone knows the name of the "older" Mackie analog mixers (8-10 or 12 tracks); I want the Mackie ones; but not the Onyx, Onyx are good for live microphones, but they ain't no vintage ones.

I need name please so I can go on ebay and buy one as soon as possible; or a store if you got a sure one.
