Thanks Drew,
That's not my problem though.
This is my exact set-up:
mpc 1000
midi 1 out to Micro Q
midi 2 out to Nord electro
midi guitar into mpc (this controls all my keyboards)
So when I play live, I keep playing and looping everything live.
I ussually always have the time correct on.
example:
-I manually play a beat in overdub while the machine is looping 2 to 4 bars. Sometimes I will play loops as well.
-I keep adding more loops on different tracks (percussion and what not)
-Then I started looping the midi'd keyboards via my guitar, via the mpc.
-So after a while when I loop a track in overdub over previously recorded loops, some tracks will drop out for the length of the sequence while recording. Also, when I play a keyboard part, sometimes it will not playback the second time trough the loop after I have recorded it.
It's really ****. My 2000xl never had this problem. I have picked this 1000 apart trying to find a solution and have talked to Akai. No answers.
They say my machine is broken, but I think it is a bug. I think I am doing some heavy duty stuff on the machine and it just can't take it.
If I stop and then start the 1000 it seems to stop for a while. I have incorporated a chaos pad, so I can grab a loop on it, stop my machine, release the chaos pad and start the 1000 again. This has been my only solution.
Not to sound arrogant but I think I am doing some pretty forward thinking perfomances with the 1000 and nobody around is doing it like this so it is hard to get feedback on my problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
john
