sampling

i just bought my mpc yesterday and i have sampled this sound and i trimmed it also. i assigned it to a pad but why if i tap a pad the whole sample plays. I want the sample to stop as soon as i take my hand off the pad. if someone could help i would appreciate it. thanks

I'm not at home right now, so I can't explain to you without my MPC in my face. Do a search. That question has been asked several times. You made a good selection by picking up an MPC. Just keep playing with it. You'll learn new stuff all the time. Peace.

shift+6, params, note off (in the lower left corner).

It cuts off when you let up off the pad.

that dosent work. shift+6 dosent even take you to that menu

actually it did work its on the bottom right hand side though. thanks, i never would have figured that out

If you never would have figured that out, you're in trouble. Just get yourself a manual and learn.

Yes it is unless somebody sold you an MPC with a manual with page 126 missing .
The manual is your friend read it.

yeah the mpc manual is much more helpful then others I have gotten....like when I bought a triton.......complicated manuals.

I despise my Triton manual but I've read it many times anyway.
MPC manual is more helpful than people think, many just don't read or explore the thing. It doesn't give you tips and tricks, it gives you ALL the BASICS though. People really should get itno it more..

B Hawk, just look around in the manual and you will find that there is much to be learned and discovered.
