I like using the chopper in Acid. straight from there you render those parts to your cf card, and your done. I like using Acid occasionally to add effects, anf then render it to my cf card, but it all depends. Which in return will free up the effects in the 1k, allowing you to use those effect for other samples.

Chopping samples in waveform editors is good but you will always have an advantage if you chop samples in the MPC. Now, I only use my Sound Forge for almost everything else.
