I have protools and I have everything hooked up. If I have a song made on the mpc, can I record each instrument within the song seperately to different tracks? Also for seperate drums too. Thanks a lot ahead of time.

Be a lil bit more brief......Which interface do you have with protools?....
Which MPC do you have.......? Cause if you have the mbox you can only
record 2 tracks at a time......!

I do not have the 8 out interface on the mpc (I have the standard mpc-2000-xl-mcd with maxed out memory). The protools interface I have is the mbox. If i can only record 2 tracks at a time... how do i even do that?

As long as you have figured out how to sync the two together with MTC it's so easy it hurts. Mute all but two tracks. Send each track to a seperate in on the M box (You can pan your MPC tracks hard left and right) record tracks 1 & 2. Mute them and unmute the next two. Repeat. Set oven to 350, bake for 4 minutes. Serve hot.
