BFD and MPC...Can they all work?

I'm looking at getting the Akai MPC 2000XL to use exclusively as my drum machine to make all my beats for songs.

I would like to get BFD and its expansion packs along with Guru for all of the fantastic drum sounds. I'd like to know if I can use the Akai MPC 1000 to play all of the sounds from BFD and record that into Pro Tools LE 6.9 and soon to be Pro Tools LE 7.0?

It would be great for me to use the 16 pads on the MPC 1000 being able to assign whatever sound I want from the BFD programs and then get that recorded into Pro Tools.

does this so called "BFD" work via MIDI? if so then you can do what just asked....though you would need to maybe explain your self a bit better.
