stupid monitors question

is it bad to plug two things into my monitors at the same time? i got my mp and my 1680 both plugged in thru the 1/4" and the RCA on the back of my tr8s , but i usually unplug the outs on the mp when i switch over to the vs so i havent really tested it, i wouldnt be playing them at the same either...i dont wanna **** my shit up but i am also lazy when it comes to switchin cables up, i would rather just have shit work and plugged in when i need it to be

buy a cheap mixer, like behringer. Problem solved.

why dont you just monitor thru the 1680, it is a digital mixer isn't it?

yeah I have the same speaker's don't blow them, just plug your speakers into the main outs or monitor outs on your 1680 then your mp into different channles on your 1680.
