HDM10-HDD adapter kit for the 1000-NEW INFORMATION 11/25/05

ok people. for those who want it, the order is on....

it's called HDM10 and is retailing for $29 US. Akai direct is taking orders and shipping now.

It contains the metal plate that houses the hard drive, and the pin connection kit.

the kit is available NOW!!!

with the kit installed and you have a CF card in and connect it to your computer via the usb, the computer will see the card. when you disconnect the usb and pull the card out and reconnect it to the computer, the computer will see the hard drive.

Just hoping, it won't take too long til it hits Europe...

i don't know if i was clear... someone just PM'd me to ask if they had to buy a 2gig drive then buy another one when the new OS comes out...

the answer is NO. feel free to go out and buy that 40gb hard drive. it's just until the new OS comes out, that 40gb hard drive will only be recognized as a 2gb hard drive. when you load in the new OS, the os will automatically repartition and make use of the full 40gb. if you did work and saved stuff on the drive when it was at 2gb, you don't have to resave anything, you will not lose anything when the full hdd becomes available.

that was told to you because they didn't want to say an earlier date and it not come in on the earlier date (understand)? they would have to answer alot of questions if that happened. so to be on the safe side, that is the date they were told to give ppl.

but my source told me it would be in way b4 then.

i know there were already threads talking about the coming of this product and the speculation of when it will get here. the reason i started a new one is because it is available now and so no one would have to sift through different posts to get this information. i felt that this was major enough with enough info that it could warrant it's own thread.
