young chap need help on buring pgm&wav for 2000xl

hello how do i burn a cd with samples and pgm that mpceditor made

i burn with nero but when loading the pgm from the scsi cdrom , it wont load all the wav samples ?
is there a special software i can use so i can load all the samples for a pgm from the cd ,,

You don't need anything special, you have Nero and that's what is needed.

Be sure you are burning in ISO9660 Format in Mode 1.

Be sure ALL your samples and pgm's are in the same folder, I recommend burning samples and pgm's in separate folders...

ex:

wav1 wav2 wav3 wav4 wav5 wav5 wavup to 64 in one folder, with the PGM file too.

Do separate folders for EACH program and make sure the samples that belong to those PGMS are in that folder. TRY IT AGAIN

How many files are you trying to put on one disk? Try it with one program first, also it may be that you have WAVS that will not load on the MPC. Do any of the sounds load? And when they don't, what does the MPC say?

download some known good wavs like from MPCTUTOR or either AKAI and make a program with those.

i put 1 program on the cd with 10 samples , but only 4 will load

i put the same program and same sounds on a zip. and they all load .

i burned at mode 1 just like what you said ,,

Sounds like an ISO issue, and you are sure you are using ISO9660 and not Joliet? Are the sample names longer than the ones that do load?

ISO9660:1999 is a file system designed by ISO (International Standards Organization) with the aim of creating a file system that is
system independent and therefore compatible with every system
CD's with ISO9660 file system can be read on all operating systems
ISO9660:1999 is the most recent version of this file system
ISO Level 1 supports filenames in 8.3 format (8 characters for the filename and 3 for the extension)
ISO Level 2 allows 31 characters and can be read by WIndows 95 and later versions. However DOS and Windows 3.1 have trouble with long file names.




I am not at home, but I can't remember where to change or check the settings. I think it's under CD Properties under FILE when you are in the NONEXPRESS mode, Nero defaults to Jolieti
