Trimming with the note slider

I read on here but can't seem to find it in the search that you can trim a sample on the xl with the note slider. Does anyone know if this is true or have I been imagining things again??

If so how do you do it.

it works, place the cursor on the start or and point, press SHIFT and move the slider. this will do the trick
