anyways I analyzed a few of jons tracks off crunk juice...and many of his basslines frequencies occupy the same freuqencie range of his 808 kicks...I checked and many of his tracks have the 33 hz range, so cutting it isnt the answer...
So in conclusion...theres only 2 possible ways that Little Jons enginers are fixing this situation...
1.Side Chaining compression. This is commonly known as ducking.
IE The bassline will drop in a specified volume (and possibly frequency) whenever the kick hits
2. There fine tuning the 808 kick or bassline in cents, so the distortion doesnt occur. I assume that they'd be using the Antares AutoTune software to do this.
