recording.. some one please help

whats up.... I have a mpc 4000 and a yamaha aw4416 24 track recorder. Is there a way for me to put my music on different tracks instead of having it all on one track (example,... the kick drum on track one, the snare on track two and so forth....!) this way i can master my music better......SOME ONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS OBSTACLE....

mpc individual outs to recorder individual inputs. asign each sound to an indy out on the mpc.

but wouldn't that only let you track 8 tracks

at one time, yes. you can mute additional ones and dew more than one pass.

You can get 10 outputs by using the 8 outs, plus you can use the stereo outs by panning sounds hard left or right which will in effect give you two more individual outs (L & R)

So if I have the eight outs on my mpc than and I have a song with 16 tracks than I could only use 8 of those tracks on a mixer. Corect?

no, you can record your whole mix onto 2 audio tracks, or even one.

You could run all 16 into the 8 audio tracks. It is best to just record 8 at a time and do two passes. Mute tracks 9-16 on the mpc then record 1-8, then mute 1-8 and un mute 9-16 and record them. Assign the individual outs accordingly.
