I've been keeping my eyes open for this for years now...

"Rock N Roller Disco" - this 1979 compilation with Sparks (Beat the Clock) and Flying Lizards (Money) on it...

and I was in a charity shop the other day when I remembered to keep an eye out for it and literally the next record I flipped, IT WAS THERE!

BUT....On closer inspection it was all scratched down the good side so I went fuk it and left it.

Two weeks later I found it mint at the Market, in a 4 for a £ pile along with Gary Numan "Telekon", A band called Imagination and the Harry Robinson String Sound Moody and Magnificent.

Point being, be patient, keep yer eyes open and you will usually find what yer after.

I've been listening to Tubeway Army - 'Replikas', and G.Numan solo - 'Pleasure Principal' lately.
Good stuff....if you can appreciate some OG late '70s synth pop.

Plus, there's that "Films" break.

It happened to me today. The "pink label" release of Night Moves "Transdance" for 50p .... ( I think that is about 75 cents.) And spookily enough there is a Gary Numan connection here too.

Yep, that's the one

Quality production but not really my thing. No synthezoids. Might be some good samples haven't listened properly yet!

Night Dubbing from 1983 is a great Imagination album..... tracks like "Just An Illusion" stripped right down to bass & drums. One of the tracks was mixed by Paradise Garage DJ Larry Levan. It has "Burnin' Up" on it which was a big tune with the original Chicago house DJs like Ron Hardy & Frankie Knuckles.

I'm listening to the imagination album now, it's not bad, and I can hear the synths now (don't know how I missed em before).

Damn I think that Night Dubbing record was in the pile where I bought it from. Oh well.

Damn featherboy! You did your homework on that one!
That song brings back old memories of the Music Box with Ron Hardy.
