Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Open up the MPC.. put the eb16 board in the "slot" with a screw. It is simple as that. 5 min work.

I dont know where the slot is ? Where is it if im looking overhead?

I made a picture for you. At the motherboard is printed "Eb16 Option Board". It is the upper white slot.

This is btw a MPC 2000 Classic but I think a XL ain't very different.

If you look on page 191 of the XL manual, there is a diagram of where all the optional installs go.

It's sh!tty compared to just about everything else......
...but good enough for live use, or as a 'place holder' until you can put better FX on it..........or, what the hell, I've even used em on finished tracks before (in small doses.)

I'd rather have it than not have it.

Inside the mpc, no.

Use your daw effects, hardware effects unit or something else outboard.

I agree with this..

so if it's cheap... get it.. if you care about expanding your mpc slightly more than it already is.. get it.
