every producer has to flip this at least one time in their career

9th done let it out

i finally figured out what you meant. I just bought the new scratch and just got done with the 9th article. I had no idea he said that. I was just saying it because I felt it was the truth.

SLICK RICK DID AN Interpolation OF "NAUTILUS"......................
(1988) "CHILDREN'S STORY" but DID USE "MADRIGRAS for "THE MOMENT I FEARED" on the Same album.............
Image
LL COOL TOOK A SAMPLE OF "TAKE ME TO THE MARDRIGRAS"................
(1985) "ROCK THE BELLS"

and thats How IT Went DOWN................

the REASON SLICK WAS MENTIONED BEFORE IS THE ARTICLE WAS ABOUT "NAUTILUS"

I think illanoiz thought that "rock the bells" sampled "nautilus" and not "mardi gras"......unless illa has a version we never heard.....

I don't think Rock The Bells sampled Bob James at all.
It's a go-go sample, pretty sure it's from Trouble Funk. You can hear it's roto-toms being wailed on - not cowbells.

If you listen to RTB, there's actually no 'bells' in it.........so no Marti Gras.

There was another rare version of RTB on the B-Side of the 12", called the "Original Version".........it had totally different lyrics and a different beat.
It did have some cowbells in it.........but not sampled from Marti Gras.

Now, Peter Piper, that's another story.......definately Marti Gras, and definately 1986.

damn come to think of it it didn't have bells.....and I think I think I said it before (in actual convo) but forgot.....oh well.....you might be right on the trouble funk.....I am not sure though...but it makes sense
