I HAVE THE ROLAND XP-60 KEYBOARD BUT I WANT TO SAMPLE WHAT I PLAY TO THE MPC. WHAT'S THE BEST TO ACHIEVE THIS.

disconnect midi connection at MPC OUT (A or B) pending on which one you're using. And plug Audio out line from XP to MPC's record in either L or R. Go into sampling screen and set to (L or R) record in pending on which line you used.

I do the same thing with the Triton sometimes.

It would be better to sequence it with the mpc.

That depends entirely on what sound you're going for. If you wanted straight dance sound and everything, sure, sequencing works fine. Most things work well this way.

But if he's lookin to chop up a loop he's made on the XP, or just tweak a hand-played comping bit, sampling it's the way to go. He can make it fit later.

Good lookin out Blaz, Lampdog.
