blending/mixing with Pioneer CDJ's

hey what up guys..i been producing for a while now, but just got into djing. Can any one help me out with some tips on doing smooth blends and mixes? What i mean is transfering from one song to an other and making it match well. I know it has something to do do with BPM right? I had two songs and set them booth to 95 bpm and slowly slid the cross fader, but it still just dosnt sound smooth so someone please give me some basic tips. I play hip-hop music.

Make the transitions by switching your high mids and lows over to the song your mixing in according the the transitions in the song your mixing into, and then finaly crossfade over the the second track once it finally drops.

get the hihats and snare to synchronize as much as possible then use the eq teqs allready mentioned...blending records is a subtle art not to be underestimated..it takes practice..
