I have the mighty mpc 4000 and the yamaha AW4416.......My wife is getting me the protools setup for christmas so I can I can start recording with computer software.........Do you recomending selling or keeping my yamaha.....?

Are you crazy, boy? Keep it. Why duplicate with Pro Tools? The only way I see you making that move is if you have a Mac computer to harness the true power of the platform otherwise keep the Yamaha.
