What's up Family,

I noticed loading wav files on the MPC 2000xl takes up a lot of memory. I there a better way to load these sound files to minimize the amount of space used up. Thanks

no not that i know of. upgrade the memory i guess...

i think .snd files are smaller, but they only turn into .snd files after you load them into the mpc (i think......)

Yo Smoove,

I am still having a problem with loading up my work after I have saved it. When I turn on my MPC I do Shift Load and the file comes up. The info on the screen comes up as I saved it, but when I press play I cant here anything. Please Help, Chef

What file did you load up ? a wav/snd file ? If so then it is normal you don't hear a thing. You first have to assign the sound to a pad on the MPC.

ok if you loaded up sounds into the pads then made a beat and saved THE BEAT (your sequences) you probably forgot to save the PROGRAM (.pgm). saving the program saves the sounds and the pads they were assigned to.
