its about to drive me crazy please help!!!!!!!!!

I have the mpc 4000 and the yamaha AW4416 24 track recorder when I midi them together using the yamaha as the master to record one track at a time it doesn't come out right........(Example, when i record a sample into track one it doesn't come in until the 4 bars has looped as with all other sounds such as the kick and snares come in as soon as i hit play record on the yamaha can some one tell why is that? Do I have something hooked up wrong or what, or does it has something to do with the samples in my mpc 4000?........PLease, some one reach out and lend me a hand

I wouldn't know exactly because I don't own a 4000 but I would guess that you may need to turn the metronome(click) and 1 bar countdown off. That might solve your problem even though I don't know why that would cause it to do that.......Out
