the sample sounds different

Hi everyone!!

I get a sample of an old record and has this white noise.
I use the waves x-noise plug-in in my PC and then reload it in my MPC.
I first check the sample in my PC and sounds great, ya know, without that noise, but then in my MPC it still sounds with it.

Why is that happening? Can someone tell me?

you are playing the original sample again....the mpc will play exactly what the .wav tells it too so the sample in question must be the original one with noise on....to verify this add some space to the front of the noiseless sample and paste a large kick drum in there, when you are in the mpc go into wave view- if it starts with the big kick drum you know its loaded the new sample, if it doesn't then you know its using the old sample...

on this... does a mixing desk need grounding like a turntable mixer does?? cause i have my rane mixer grounded but i dont have my normal mixer (cheap berringer job) grounded and i swear sometimes like i feel im being zapped or there is current there..?? maybe its just a really dodgy mixer..
