Black MPC1000

as far as new production and distrobution of the 1k, yes, the black casing is becoming standard. as far as the hdd kit, i'm not sure. the kit is not currently on the black models that's being distributed now. so i don't the kit will be standard. from what i understand (i can be wrong) the 2.5k comes with the kit standard.

when can i expect a black mpc1000? And i mean not just the kit but the whole mpc

not to come down on you but everyone keep getting at ppl when they talk about the color or look of their mpc. but i bet no one get at ppl when they go to buy a car. if a person wants a black benz no one says it doesn't make the car drive better if it's white or yellow. it's the same thing. no one is saying if they had a different color mpc it will improve their production skills, they are just saying they would like to have a different color or look to it. what would you have done if when you bought your mpc, you were given a choice of colors?

from what i understand, all new distribution of mpc's are the black ones. whenever a dealer runs out of their current stock, all new ones will be the black ones.

Look at the original picture that cowbell posted. Do i see a green backlight on the notch of the Volume knob? Thats quite good for the guys who use their MPCs in a live setup, e.g. if you were doing a live performance in a dark club or something.

Yeah, i was thinking about different combinations too. I imagine black casing with red side panels would look nice.
